How to find an air leak
If you think your inflatable paddle board, kayak or boat has an air leak you will need to locate the source of the air leak.
First of all, make sure the inflation valve is properly in place an no air is escaping from there.
- Fully inflate the kayak, paddle board or boat
- Apply soapy water all over. Start around the air valve and work your way around the whole item, making sure you cover every part, inside and out.
- If a puncture or tear is present, you will see bubbles.
Lost paddle, pump or other accessories
Its easy to misplace parts or loose them.
If we have them, you can find replacements in our Spare parts
How to clean & store a paddle board, kayak or boat
- Make sure any salt water or dirt has been properly rinsed off
- Clean the surface with a damp cloth
- Dry thoroughly with a towel or allow sufficient time to dry
- For long periods of time, it is best to deflate for storage
- Choose an indoor space with moderate temperatures between 5ºC and 38ºC
- Don't drag inflatable water sports items on the floor; either infltable or defalted.
Can you store these inflated?
It is ok to store a Bestway paddle board, kayak or boat inflated
- Release a small amount of air before storing. This allows for any changes in temperature and air expansion
- Make sure you store the item somewhere suitable, away from risk of puncture.
Paddle Boards (SUPs)
Paddle board fin is bent
If your paddle board fin has become misshapen in storage or as a result of being left in hot conditions, you can carefully use a hairdryer to make it suppler and reshape. Watch this video.
