Is the thermal cover waterproof?

Yes, and more than just waterproof. The Lay Z Spa Thermal Hot Tub Cover is completely water-repellent. The outside of the thermal cover is Tritech®, which is the same material as our hot tubs

Is the thermal cover durable?

The Lay Z Spa Thermal Hot Tub Cover will not deteriorate, crack or flake over time. It is made with Tritech®, the same ultra strong UV resistant and water-repellent material as our hot tubs. It has double stitched and glued seams making it stronger and more impermeable. Inside is a thick layer of insulating cotton and an anti-mildew-treated interior.

How does the thermal cover make my hot tub more energy-efficient?

The Lay-Z-Spa hot tub thermal cover helps lower energy costs by significantly improving heat retention of your hot tub and helps to heat up the water faster too.

Can I use the thermal cover without the inflatable lid?

We would strongly recommend not using the thermal cover without the inflatable lid and top cover. It won't offer the same level of heat retention and won't give you the maximum energy efficiency. Also, if the underside of the thermal cover touches the water, it is likely to absorb into the material.

Can I use my hot tub with a thermal cover on?

As the Lay Z Spa thermal hot tub cover fits tightly around the top and sides of your hot tub, you will need to remove it when you want to use your hot tub.

Can You Put The Santorini Hydrojet Indoors?

Lay‑Z‑Spas are suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. Most Lay‑Z‑Spa customers set them up in their gardens, either on the grass, patio, decking or in their summer house. If setting up on artificial grass, we recommend using rubber matting and/or shoes to reduce static. For indoors, you should consider factors such as drainage and ventilation.

How Long Does The Santorini Hydrojet Take For The Water To Heat Up When You First Fill It?

This can vary depending on the temperature of fresh water that goes into your spa and the ambient air temperature. On a typical summer’s day in the UK, it can take on average 6‑12 hours to heat the water to 40°C. Once the water is up to your desired temperature, the pump can be left on, efficiently heating the water.

What Is Freeze Shield™ And How Does It Work?

Designed to automatically increase water circulation around the pump, the system prevents water freezing, so you can enjoy your hot tub all year round. The Freeze Shield™ is a built‑in feature to the pump, and is activated so long as there is a power supply to the unit. As soon as the pump detects the temperature of the water has dropped to 4°, the heating system activates to bring the temperature to 10° (which is the temperature to be safe for the Spa to operate at).
